The Sitting Room Studio
The Sitting Room is a photography studio that specializes in bridal, boudoir, and pin-up portraiture for women. The studio is a veritable funhouse of decor, complete with four vintage chandeliers, red velvet theatre curtains, and a Juliet-style balcony. The space looks delightfully mismatched, with the photography backgrounds giving the appearence of seven different complete rooms, offering clients many possibilities for their shoots. As a lover of all things vintage, photographer and proprietor Renny Rhanor uses vintage furniture, chandeliers, and clothing to convey a sense of timelessness in her work.
The Photographer
Renny is originally from Southern Illinois and is a true Midwesterner at heart. The poses and movement in her photography stem from her background in ballet, giving her insight into finding her subjects’ long lines and graceful body carriage. The color red, Paris, and Old Hollywood serve as her inspiration. She believes in life-long true love. She always orders dessert. A “girly girl,” she prefers a night out in a vintage dress, pearls, and high heels over jeans, and she is never without a tube of red lipstick. She finds joy in creating lasting photographs, giving women an unending reminder of their radiance and confidence.
